Your body has been
trying to tell you
something.
Traditional talk therapy can only take us so far. When trauma lives in the body, and it almost always does, we need approaches that go deeper than words. That's where somatic and specialized therapies come in.
At Heal Good, these modalities aren't add-ons. They're at the core of how I work, because healing isn't just a mental process. It's a full-body one.
This is for you if...Does this sound familiar?
You've done the talking but it still feels like something needs to shift.
You understand your patterns intellectually, but knowing hasn’t changed anything.
Your body reacts before your mind catches up.. tight chest, clenched jaw, shut down.
You’ve been in therapy before and hit a ceiling.
Certain memories still feel as loud as the day they happened.
You want to feel different, not just think differently.
Anxiety that LIVES IN YOUR BODY
MEMORIES THAT STILL FEEL PRESENT
INSIGHT THAT HASN'T TURNED INTO CHANGE

Brainspotting works with the idea that where you look affects how you feel. By identifying specific eye positions that correlate with emotional activation in the brain, Brainspotting helps access and release trauma stored deep in the nervous system, often in places talk therapy can't reach.
It's a quiet, powerful process that allows your brain to do what it already knows how to do: heal itself.
Best for: Deep trauma processing, emotional blocks, performance anxiety, and when other approaches haven't felt like enough.

EMDR is a research-backed therapy designed to help you process and release traumatic memories that feel stuck. Memories that still trigger you, still show up in your body, and still affect how you move through the world today.
Through guided bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping), EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful experiences so they lose their emotional charge. You don't have to relive the details to heal from them.
Best for: Trauma, PTSD, anxiety, phobias, and distressing memories that won't let go.

Parts Work
IFS starts from a simple idea: you are not one single thing. You're made up of parts. The one that pushes you to achieve, the one that shuts down when things get hard, and the one that's been protecting you since childhood. None of them are bad. All of them have been trying to help.
Parts work creates space to get curious about those inner voices instead of fighting them. As you build a relationship with the parts of you that carry the most pain, they begin to soften and you get access to the calm, clear version of yourself that's been underneath the whole time.
Best for: Inner conflict, self-criticism, perfectionism, childhood wounds, and feeling at war with yourself.
**I am currently completing IFS Level 1 training. Parts work is woven into my clinical approach, and I'll be accepting clients specifically for IFS focused work beginning January 2027.

So many of us live almost entirely from the neck up. We think, analyze, plan, and problem solve, but we've lost touch with what our bodies are actually feeling. Somatic therapy gently brings you back into connection with yourself.
Through body-awareness practices, breathwork, and mindful attention to physical sensation, somatic therapy helps you recognize and release what you've been holding, often without even realizing it.
This is especially powerful for those of us who overthink, who feel disconnected from our emotions, or who know something is wrong but can't quite name it.
Best for: Anxiety, emotional numbness, overthinking, nervous system dysregulation, and feeling disconnected from yourself but coupled with any of the above treatments.
Not sure which approach is best for you?
You don't need to know right now. Our initial assessment will help us gain insight into which approach may be best for you. Don’t let that get in the way of you simply starting. We will figure it out together!
